Unfortunatly, The Realm is sometimes offline. Most people tend to use a program called Powwow (available at http://www.tribal.com) to keep in touch while it's offline. With Powwow, join the conference at chat@realm, to find other Realm players. Note, the conference isn't always online.
Sierra has just recently established a new message board and a new chat room for The Realm. The Chat Room can be found at http://www.sierra.com/_roomchat/realm.html. The Message Board can be found at http://www.sierra.com/messages/realm/.
