Nightmare Rift Power Up Guide

Nightmare Rifts in Rift Nightmare Tide have a variety of powerups available that allow a determined raid to progress much further in a Nightmare rift when used properly. To help encourage proper use, here's a list of all the power ups you will see and what they do.

Beam Power

20 second buff Reckoning Beam. A beam of power latches onto you, dealing damage to nightmare creatures between you and the beam's end point.

Chaos Power

20 second buff Chaos. Passive: Cause AoE damage on offensive casts. Temporary Ability: Cast on a friendly player to increase the target's single-target damage by 150%.

Demon Power

Spawns a Mad Slasher, Elite Level 67 with 1.5 million HP and a 60 second buff "Insane But Helpful" - This creature is slightly mad, but will still fight alongside you. However, he cannot tolerate this reality and will die soon.

Grip Power

20 second buff Grip. Passive: Increases movement speed by 70%. Temporary Abiliy: Pull Nightmare Rift creatures to your location.

Obliteration Power

20 second buff Obliteration. Passive: Increase outgoing damage of surrounding players by 25%. Temporary Ability: Cast on a Nightmare Rift creature to create a damaging ground effect.

Radiance Power

Spawns a Radiant Shard, Elite Level 67 with 726k HP and a 20 second buff "Radiance" - When damaged, deals damage to surrounding Nightmare creatures. If it is killed before it despawns, deals massive damage to surrounding Nightmare creatures.

Sacrifice Power

20 second buff Sacrifice. Passive: Deals damage to you. Temporary Ability: Cast on a Nighmare Rift creature to inflict massive AoE damage. (~40%)

Surge Power

20 second buff Surge. Passive: Heals surrounding allies. Temporary Ability: Charges the target, dealing damage to surrounding enemies and spreading an absorb shield to surrounding allies.

Unity Power

20 second buff Unity. Passive: Cause AoE damage on healing casts. Temporary Ability: Cast on a Nightmare Rift creature to inflict a pulsing AoE.

Powerup Generator

Powerup Builder - 3s Channel, Cooldown: 20 seconds, Requires Nightmare Energy. Upgrades Powerup Generators found in Nightmare rifts. Consumes one Nightmare Energy when used. Allows movement.
